Pocomoke River State Park prepares to seek certification as a Dark Sky Park from the International Dark Sky Association
Tuesday, April 17 – Noon Brown Bag Lunch Talk: Join LSLT during International Dark Sky Week and learn from Cineva Smith, Park Ranger at Pocomoke River State Park, about their efforts to become certified as a Dark Sky Park. Cineva has spent the past year researching ways to preserve the “nightscape” by reducing light pollution. She will share resources to help you become part of the light pollution solution by finding dark sky friendly lighting, saving energy, protecting wildlife, and preserving the heritage of our night sky.
